Raffle Quilt Revealed

Here's a better view of the queen size Log Cabin quilt that I previewed in my last post. Two and a half movies later, the binding is finished. My applogies for the furry feature in the corner. Mia decided to climb on board and give the quilt the "smell test". I hope it passed. LOL!

This quilt is made from 2.5" strips of Thimbleberries fabrics that were swapped with some online friends. When I had this spread out on the living room floor the other day, my DH told me that this was his favorite quilt that I have made. Bummer! This quilt is going away.

I am donating this quilt to the Ballerina's elementary school. The principal is currently raising funds in order to purchase a new mobile computer lab that will include lap top computers that can be moved from classroom to classroom. Our plan is to offer one raffle ticket for each dollar donated and award this quilt to the holder of the lucky ticket. I've never made a raffle quilt before, so I'm hoping that this will be a good way to raise a large sum of money for the school. The Ballerina will draw the winning ticket on April 7th.

If you're interested in donating to our school by purchasing tickets ($1 each OR six tickets for $5), please contact me privately by clicking HERE. The quilt measures 84" x 104" and is made using Thimbleberries fabrics by RJR and Warm and Natural 100% cotton batting.

  4. Are you trying to tell me that quilts are not supposed to have furry creatures plopped on them? Man, I'm in trouble *s* It's easy to see this one will be an excellent fund raiser . . . way to go.
